- high risk what? - Sunday, September 17, 2006

So my becoming an RN has been in the works for a little while now. Hope to start this whole this this summer or fall. But, just today I was looking through the classes post RN-to specialize. The only one that really caught my eye was High Risk Pregnancy. I plann on taking that one class the summer after I graduate from gville tech and before I start Clemson's BSN program. I plan to specialize as a NICU nurse/high risk pregnancy. The only thing I'm a little scared of with the whole NICU is the meds. Even though the doctors would be making the mistakes as far as the prescription...I am held liable if I give the patient the meds, which I wouldn't do if I felt it was the wrong dosage....so that could get iffy. But anyways, I'm excited about all these decisions I've had to make...well only the ones that involve school. The ones that involve personal issues...not so much. When I told my mom about wanting to go into the high risk pregnancy post RN class...she said: "Oh gah, that's just gonna be all about sex." huh? Yea, she thought I meant like unprotected sex is high risk for pregnancy...just so we're clear...the class I'm talking about involves multiple births ie: twins, triplets, ETC. so moving right along!....

On a much much better note..look what I got!!

I have already watched the whole thing and am starting over. Season 3 premieres this Thursday and I couldn't be more excited. Why can't ALL men be like Mcdreamy????

Medical Terminology has hit an all time...boring chapter. We're in bones...which out of the entire semester...to me..is the most boring. Next is cardio, which should be fun. Acutally once I get past this bones chapter, the rest is fun. Not sure why I'm not enjoying bones...but I'm really, really not.

So to sum it up: high risk pregnancy class isn't about which ways of sex are high risk FOR pregnancy, I love Grey's Anatomy and can't wait for season 3...and I don't like bones...well studying bones. I happen to like my bones very much.
